The Teletronix LA-3A Classic Audio Level was introduced in 1969 with evolution in mind. Teletronix's release of the LA-3A compressor was an embarkment away from their famous LA-2A tube circuitry design. The LA-3A included aspects and concepts put forward by the highly regarded Putnam-designed 1176LN Limiting Amplifier (another treasured piece of onboard gear at our NYC recording studio), to deliver a distinct hybrid sound. Universal Audio's LA-3A plug-in preforms with the same unique quality and character in its compressor, with an unmistakable mid-range, and undeniable value for any recording studio. We've made no mistake in adding it to our recording studio in Midtown, NYC.
